Carry On is an amazing LGBT Romance-Adventure book written by Rainbow Rowell. Carry On is connected to another book by Rainbow Rowell, Fangirl. Fangirl is the story of the girl who is writing Carry On as a fan-fiction of a fictional book series that is very similar to the Harry Potter series. Both of these books are very good, and I liked how the author made the stories intertwine. Carry On has no mention of the fictional author in Fangirl, but Fangirl has periodical parts of Carry On put in, telling the story of how she writes it. It’s a very unique connection between the two books. Carry On is a romance between the two main characters, Simon, and Basil. At the start of the book, these two are enemies. They periodically have tried to kill each other throughout their years. I would compare these two to Harry and Draco from Harry Potter, minus the romance part.
