This book is written by John Green and David Levithan. This book is really interesting to me, because there are two alternating perspectives of the same situations, both perspectives written by a different person. This book has characters that are a part of the LGBT community and I feel that it very accurately describes how it feels to be closeted, and not feel comfortable with your sexual orientation, and also how it is to come out to people. Another interesting part is that one of the characters struggles with a mental illness. I think that the author very accurately portrays how it feels to have a mental illness and the struggle of getting better, or finding things and people that make it better. I would recommend this book to anyone in high school, as it can provide a very interesting perspective for people who don’t relate to the characters, and also to people who do.
